Sandy Coronado

Sandy Coronado was born in Chiapas, Mexico and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is fluent in Spanish and English, drawing on Mexican and American cultures for artistic inspiration. A self-taught artist, she started drawing at the age of four and now specializes in charcoal and oil portraits. Her work is known for its dark tone and attention to detail. She especially enjoys drawing portraits of friends and family. In her free time, Sandy enjoys going to the Marin Symphony, yoga, playing with her two kittens, and caring for her young son, a talented, up-and-coming violinist.
